EXPERIENCE 

SEPTEMBER 2022 – PRESENT MANAGER, OFFICE SERVICES, PLANNING INSTITUTE OF JAMAICA 

Prepares and maintains an annual procurement plan for the acquisition of goods and services. Manages the asset portfolio to include acquisition, disposal and protection. Revamped and implemented new inventory control systems. Manages and maintains inventory levels and relationships with suppliers. Coordinates international and domestic travel logistics for staff. Plans and coordinates in house and off-site events and activities. Monitors and evaluates the transportation fleet to ensure performance and regulatory standards are met. Identifies, creates and streamlines SOPs for all areas including procurement of goods and services, meeting room reservations and events planning. Designs, organizes and allocates office resources to enhance efficiency and work flow in keeping with occupational health and safety standards. Manages the routing and dispatch of internal and external mail deliveries. Manages printing operations and production flow and processes. Manages the unit’s budget and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Fulfils Governance and Property Management requirements by being a member of the Communication Committee, Energy and Waste Management Committee; Cost Containment Committee; Dialogue for Development Committee; Procurement Committee and Financial Audit Committee. 

SEPTEMBER 2020-SEPTEMBER 2022 PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, CONTINENTAL BAKING COMPANY

 Maintained the quality of service by enforcing the established operational standards. Maintained the efficient work flow of the plant, by closely monitoring the production and wrapping processes and CCPs. Identified and quickly found corrective actions that adhered to the company’s protocol for any quality issues seen. Assisted with the completion of production plans, scheduling, monitoring, coaching, motivating, appraisals and reprimands of the production team. Completed periodic reports as required by the Plant Manager. During the absence of a Plant Manager, the supervisory body shared the managerial responsibilities and maintained the plant for a year which included its peak season.

OCTOBER 2020 – FEBRUARY 2022 INVENTORY & SUPPLY CHAIN CONSULTANT B&D TRAWLING LIMITED Assisted with the management and optimization of the company’s inventory and storage/warehouse processes through the Odoo platform. Assisted with maintaining optimum levels of stock, which in return aided in the reduction of operational expenses. 

JANUARY 2020 – APRIL 2021 ADJUNCT FACULTY, THE CARIBBEAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY - The Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management 

Acted as a facilitator for the Modules – Logistics Management and Commercial Shipping. Encourages personal development and assessed the performance of students on an academic and interpersonal basis. Other duties included: lecture planning, preparation, research and the invigilating of examinations. 

APRIL 2020 – SEPTEMBER 2020 (CONTRACT) ACCOUNTING LOGISTICS COORDINATOR, LOUIS INDUSTRIAL GARAGE

 Reviewed and revamped the current pricing structure of 23,000+ line items. Analyzed the pricing structure of competitors, to ensure the company was selling at the most competitive prices as well as it was receiving the best prices from their suppliers. Reviewed, revamped and updated the fixed assets schedule. Prepared and completed several reports for the company’s perusal weekly, such as but not limited to the following: discrepancies, inventory purchase projections, goods-in-transit, stock adjustments and transfers. Analyzed the inventory purchasing to ensure the company capitalizes on purchase volume discounts. Assisted with the receipting of inbound inventory items. Conducted and oversaw stock counts and reconciled the company’s main and various foreign currency accounts monthly. 

DECEMBER 2018 – MARCH 2020 ASSISTANT EXPORT MANAGER/INVENTORY OFFICER, B&D TRAWLING LIMITED 

Revamped the inventory system and incorporated a barcoding system with the use of the Odoo application for all three aspects of the business – restaurant, outlet and plant. Planned, coordinated and administered the exportation of products harvested by the company, while ensuring that the company remained compliant to all regional and international regulations. Designed and implemented export strategies especially that of live lobsters, ensuring to find the most viable route to minimize the mortality rate. Negotiated with shipping lines, airlines, agents, vendors and customers to ensure the efficiency of the company and all shipments, while excellent customer service was offered. 

MARCH 2018 – SEPTEMBER 2018 RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER, RESTAURANTS OF JAMAICA (PIZZA HUT) 

Ensured the prompt and friendly service according to the guidelines of the company. Directed the overall activities and performance of supervisors and hourly staff while maintaining KPIs. Monitored and maintained adequate food and beverage inventories. Completed daily reports and documents on a timely basis, within a fast-paced environment. Directed the hiring, scheduling, assignment, training, motivation, evaluation, promotions, discipline and termination of restaurant personnel. Maintained the effective safety and security programs according to the company’s policy and government.
