Dairy Farm Worker – 280 Cow Dairy Unit – Near Stratford-Upon-Avon
Location: Near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire

Role Overview:
We are seeking a conscientious and passionate individual to join our forward-thinking team on a 280-cow dairy unit near Stratford-Upon-Avon. The farm, established on a greenfield site in 2004, offers excellent facilities, including new housing with auto scrapers and a fully computerized Dairymaster 14/28 Swiftflo parlour with auto drafting, backing gate, and Dairymaster Moo Monitor for heat detection.

The herd is autumn calving, housed during the winter months, and grazed on a rotational paddock system in the summer. We sell milk via the ARLA C.A.R.E contract, so attention to detail is essential. We also rear replacements in-house.

Key Responsibilities:

• TMR feeding and ration management.
• Milking and calving.
• Calf rearing and ensuring the welfare of livestock.
• General farm duties, including tractor and telehandler operations (training can be provided if necessary).
• Working as part of a team to ensure the efficient running of the farm.

Requirements:

• Passion for dairy farming and animal welfare.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, particularly with feeding and milk production management.
• Tractor and telehandler experience preferred, but training will be provided in key areas.
• A full, valid driving license is required.
