Areas of Employment:

  • Dairy farms
  • Pig farms

Internship Period: 18 months

Responsibilities:

  • Dairy Farms:
    • Milking cows, feeding, spreading straw, caring for calves
    • Assisting veterinarians, transporting goods on loaders or tractors
  • Pig Farms:
    • Feeding, castration, vaccination, insemination of sows
    • Working in the farrowing shop, cleaning production premises, transportation, occasional tractor fieldwork

Accommodation:

  • Provided housing near the farm (private room, kitchen, bathroom, heating)
  • Accommodation cost: 1500 - 2500 DKK (~200 - 340 EUR)

Salary:

  • Under 25 years old:
    • First 6 months: DKK 11,697.68 (EUR 1,560)
    • Next 12 months: DKK 13,568.73 (EUR 1,810)
  • Over 25 years old:
    • First 6 months: DKK 11,697.68 (EUR 1,560)
    • Next 12 months: DKK 15,709.13 (EUR 2,095)
  • Monthly costs (approx.):
    • Wage tax: 16-20%
    • Accommodation: 250 EUR
    • Meals: 250 EUR
    • Net monthly income after expenses:
      • Under 25: 900 - 1,100 EUR
      • Over 25: 1,000 - 1,200 EUR

Social Protection:

  • Free medical care, sick leave, 7 weeks paid holiday for 18 months

Program Process:

  • Job search: 2-5 weeks (6-8 weeks for married couples)
  • Internship permit processing: 6 - 10 weeks
  • Total waiting time: 8 - 15 weeks
  • After internship: Possible employment as a skilled worker in Denmark or other countries like Finland, Canada, or Norway.

Program Costs:

  • Real Staff Services: 400 EUR
  • Immigration Fee: 560 EUR
  • Visa Fee: Approx. 230 EUR
  • Language Exam (KET/IELTS): Cost varies
  • Travel and Insurance: Cost varies

Requirements:

  • Age: 18 - 29.5 years
  • International certificate of English (A2 level or higher)
  • Previous agricultural experience (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Ability to drive a car or tractor (advantageous)
  • Studying agriculture (veterinary, zootechnical, or farming)
  • Good physical and psychological health

Cooperation Process:

  1. Preliminary conversation and consultation
  2. Language certificate and educational certificate review
  3. Interview and contract signing with "Real Staff"
  4. Payment and submission of documents to the Danish Embassy
  5. Obtaining work permit and flight arrangements
  6. Work commencement in Denmark
