Program Overview: We are seeking motivated individuals for seasonal agricultural work on crop farms in Germany, particularly for strawberry, cherry, apple, and vegetable harvesting during the spring and autumn periods. The position offers a unique opportunity to experience German culture, earn competitive wages, and gain valuable farming experience.

Key Details:

  • Duration: 2-3 months, typically from May to November.
  • Responsibilities: Harvesting strawberries, cherries, apples, vegetables (tobacco, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc.), transportation, washing, packing, and soil preparation.
  • Accommodation: Provided (shared rooms, kitchen, bathroom/shower facilities). Housing costs are deducted from the salary.
  • Salary:
    • Hourly wage: €12/hour (before tax) or piecework rate (e.g., 40-80 eurocents per kg of strawberries).
    • Estimated monthly salary after expenses: €1300–€1700.
    • Estimated expenses (accommodation, food, tax): €550–€700/month.
  • Requirements:
    • Age 18-34 years.
    • Must be enrolled in a full-time vocational or higher education program.
    • Good physical and psychological health.
    • Motivation to work hard during harvest season.
    • Previous agricultural experience is preferred but not required.
    • Basic spoken English or German is beneficial.
    • Valid driving license is a plus but not mandatory.

Program Costs:

  • Service Fee: €200.
  • Visa Fee: Approx. €65 (to be clarified with local German embassy).
  • Insurance: Must be arranged in the employee's home country.

Additional Information:

  • The program requires applying early, ideally by January, as permits can take up to 8 weeks.
  • Workers are provided with social protection, including free medical care, and must have additional insurance for the duration of their stay.
