General Farm Worker - South West Scotland
Location: Dalbeattie, Dumfries & Galloway, South West Scotland
Expected Hours: 40 – 48 per week (Part-time considered)
Role Overview:
Join our dedicated team at a family-run farm in South West Scotland. You will work across two dairy units, focusing on high animal welfare standards, contributing to the care of pedigree Holstein cows and other livestock.
Farms Overview:
- Barnbarroch: Herd of 140 pedigree Holstein cows milked through 2 Robots, with additional beef and sheep operations.
- Boreland of Colvend Farm: Herd of 250 pedigree Holstein cows currently milked through a herringbone parlour, with an upgrade to Rapid Exit planned for summer.
A positive attitude, strong teamwork, and good communication are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily milking routines, ensuring high standards of hygiene.
- Prioritize animal health and welfare, ensuring the livestock is well-cared for.
- Assist with calf rearing through to weaning.
- Some weekend work will be required.
- General tractor, yard, and stock work as needed.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new farming methods.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
