Restaurant General Manager - Hospitality Industry
Salary: R40k - R45k + Performance-Based Incentives
Starting Date: ASAP

Requirements:

  • Relevant Hospitality qualifications.
  • Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant environment and at least 5 years in F&B management.
  • Non-negotiable: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager.
  • Experience in 4/5-star restaurants.
  • Extensive computer experience and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of variance and how to manage and correct it.
  • Experience with hospitality-related computer software systems (front and back end of house).
  • Solid understanding of hospitality industry standards and procedures.
  • Comfortable with financial reporting and performance monitoring against budgets.
  • Proven experience in stock control is essential.

Job Description:

  • Achieve or exceed financial targets.
  • Comply with all relevant management reporting processes.
  • Oversee and manage all financial procedures of the restaurant.
  • Ensure the restaurant's stock levels meet required standards.
  • Control and manage food costs to meet stipulated cost of sales.
  • Ensure operational standards are implemented as required by the Owner.
  • Follow all checklists and evaluations as set by the Owner.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the recruitment process for vacancies.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s disciplinary code and procedures.
