Restaurant General Manager - Hospitality Industry
Salary: R40k - R45k + Performance-Based Incentives
Starting Date: ASAP
Requirements:
- Relevant Hospitality qualifications.
- Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a high-end restaurant environment and at least 5 years in F&B management.
- Non-negotiable: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant General Manager.
- Experience in 4/5-star restaurants.
- Extensive computer experience and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of variance and how to manage and correct it.
- Experience with hospitality-related computer software systems (front and back end of house).
- Solid understanding of hospitality industry standards and procedures.
- Comfortable with financial reporting and performance monitoring against budgets.
- Proven experience in stock control is essential.
Job Description:
- Achieve or exceed financial targets.
- Comply with all relevant management reporting processes.
- Oversee and manage all financial procedures of the restaurant.
- Ensure the restaurant's stock levels meet required standards.
- Control and manage food costs to meet stipulated cost of sales.
- Ensure operational standards are implemented as required by the Owner.
- Follow all checklists and evaluations as set by the Owner.
- Deliver excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage the recruitment process for vacancies.
- Ensure adherence to the company’s disciplinary code and procedures.
